Summary (Plain English)

- We do not sell, share, or rent your data to any third party.
- Ads are served via Google AdMob and are family-safe.
- We only request permissions that are genuinely needed for the app to work.
- You can contact us at any time to ask about your data.
1. Who We Are
This Privacy Policy applies to all Android applications published by Veenus App Lab ("we", "us", "our") on the Google Play Store. Our apps include, but are not limited to, Status Saver apps and other utility applications.
If you have privacy-related questions, contact us at: veenusapplab@gmail.com
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information We Do NOT Collect
We do not collect, transmit, or store any of the following:
- Your name, email address, phone number, or any personal identity information
- Your WhatsApp messages, chats, or conversation data
- Your contacts, call logs, or SMS messages
- Your location data
- Photos, videos, or files from your general gallery (beyond what you explicitly save using the app)
2.2 Storage Access (Status Saver Apps)
Our Status Saver apps require access to your device's external storage to:
- Read the WhatsApp/WhatsApp Business status media folder (
WhatsApp/Media/.Statuses) to display available statuses. - Write to your device's gallery/downloads folder when you choose to save a status.
This access is entirely local to your device. No files, images, or videos are transmitted to our servers or any third-party server. The app functions completely offline for its core status-saving feature.
2.3 Analytics Data (Crash Reports)
We may use Firebase Crashlytics (a Google service) to automatically collect crash reports. This data includes:
- Device model and Android version
- App version and timestamp of crash
- Stack trace of the error
This data does not include any personal information and is used solely to improve app stability. It is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
2.4 Advertising Data
Our apps display advertisements via Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers (such as Android Advertising ID) and usage data to serve contextually relevant, family-safe ads. This is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. You can opt out of personalized ads in your Android device settings under Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization.
3. Android Permissions Explained
We only request permissions that are necessary for the app's core functionality. Below is a plain-English explanation of the permissions used in our apps:
- READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE / READ_MEDIA_IMAGES / READ_MEDIA_VIDEO — Required to read WhatsApp status media files from your device storage so they can be displayed within the app.
- WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE — Required on older Android versions (below Android 10) to save status media to your gallery.
- INTERNET — Required to load advertisements via Google AdMob. The app's core features (saving statuses) do not use the internet.
- ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE — Used to check network connectivity before attempting to load ads.
We do not request permissions for contacts, location, camera, microphone, SMS, or call logs in our Status Saver apps.
4. How We Use Information
The limited, non-personal data we collect is used only for:
- App functionality: Displaying WhatsApp statuses and saving selected files to your gallery.
- Crash reporting: Identifying and fixing technical bugs to improve app stability.
- Advertising: Displaying ads to support the free availability of our apps.
We do not use data for behavioral profiling, marketing campaigns, data brokering, or any other purpose.
5. Data Sharing and Third Parties
We do not sell, trade, or share your data with any third party except in these limited circumstances:
- Google Services: Firebase Crashlytics and Google AdMob operate under Google's own Privacy Policy. We have no control over the data Google independently collects through these services.
- Legal obligation: We may disclose information if required to do so by law, court order, or government authority. Since we store no personal data, there is virtually nothing to disclose.
6. Data Retention
- Media files: Files you save using our app are stored on your device only. We do not retain copies on our servers.
- Crash logs: Retained by Firebase Crashlytics per Google's data retention policy (typically 90 days).
- Ad data: Managed by Google AdMob per their data retention schedules.
7. Children's Privacy
Our apps are general-audience apps and are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Our ads are filtered through Google AdMob's family-safe ad settings where applicable.
If you believe a child has used our app and privacy has been affected, please contact us at veenusapplab@gmail.com and we will take immediate action.
8. Security
Because our apps process all media locally on your device and do not transmit personal data to external servers, your data security risk is minimal by design. We regularly update our apps to use the latest Android security best practices and comply with Google Play's security requirements.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your data:
- Right to access: Request information about what data we hold about you.
- Right to deletion: Request deletion of any data. Since we store no personal data, this right is effectively automatically exercised.
- Right to opt out of personalized ads: Go to your Android device settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization.
- Right to uninstall: You may uninstall our app at any time. This immediately revokes all permissions we were granted.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at: veenusapplab@gmail.com
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our apps, new features, or legal requirements. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will also update the app listing on Google Play. Continued use of our apps after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
